Supporting careers services through the digital revolution

This was a key topic during the recent AGCAS annual conference for HE careers and employability professionals, with numerous discussions and questions around this expansive and subject. This year’s conference programme celebrated excellence and innovation in the sector, with incisive talks and workshops covering everything from artificial intelligence and predictive analysis to how the careers service can remain relevant.

Listening to the views of the sector, and based on our experiences, we firmly believe the most successful careers services are those putting the needs of their students at the heart of what they do. That means offering a dynamic blend of both traditional face-to-face support and innovative digital services. Just as universities recognise that students learn in different ways, the sector must develop their services to meet how students want to seek advice, support and guidance in a way that suits them.

As we’ve seen at AGCAS, technology can help make careers services more accessible, more agile and ultimately more successful. This is something Exemplas has recognised for some time and we already work closely with other institutions to provide tailored support for their evolving careers services. Recent projects have seen our experienced advisers setting up and enhancing digital services and campaigns – using email, social media, web chat support and dedicated microsites, as well as by tapping into innovative approaches.

Our services are entirely flexible and range from simply providing hands-on expertise during busy periods, right through to giving you in-depth strategic support with planning, building and executing new and enhanced services.

Regardless of where we fit in, all of our support is delivered by experienced experts and is scalable, and measurable, to ensure it meets even the most demanding goals.

Whether you’ve been inspired by AGCAS conference to evolve your services or just need some practical support, talk to us today about how we can help you rise to the digital challenge.
