About the role

The main purpose of the role is to support the effective delivery of the ERDF (European Regional Development Funding) Funded Project, Get Growing 2 and to provide executive support to the HGH team.

  • Be actively involved in the setting up and maintenance of internal processes and procedures;
  • Contribute to the management of the Get Growing 2 Project with guidance from the HGH Operations Manager and ensure that the Project audit trail is robustly maintained and recorded, that all activities are eligible and monitored on a regular basis and achieve the Project objectives and budget requirements;
  • Support the HGH Operations Manager with the management of the ERDF Get Growing 2 Grant process from application to claim ensuring that all appropriate evidence is recorded and liaise with finance regarding reimbursement of all claims in a timely manner;
  • Provide executive support to ERDF colleagues in their day-to-day roles including support in fulfilment of client enquiries; and monitoring, assisting, and checking completion of project documentation to help minimise errors and gaps in information;
  • Cover telephones and take messages when necessary, booking delegates onto workshops, and engage with clients on an ad hoc basis to ensure appropriate documentation completed and to monitor completion of grant funded projects.

About you

We are looking for someone who has worked in a busy office environment responding to multiple demands at a time; that has experience of project work, working in a customer service/ facing role, preferably working with SMEs. It would be advantageous if you understand the business support landscape and have worked in a similar role on European funded contracts.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills; must be IT literate with experience of using Excel at an intermediate or advance level; can interpret complex guidelines and pay attention to detail; be a proactive person with a ‘can do’ attitude.

What do we offer?

This is a part time role (21.6 hours a week) on a fixed term contract up to 31 March 2022. The role is typically worked over 3 full days but would be happy to consider reduced hours over more days. If you have a preference, please express this within your application.
