EEN Innovation Contracts & Operations Manager

About the role

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) provides advice, information and tailored support to ambitious SMEs that are looking to grow their business through innovation and internationalisation.

As part of the EEN Senior Management Team, the role will take responsibility for the development and operation of systems and processes to support efficient delivery across all KPIs and to enable the effective management of the team in order to ensure that all operational and compliance conditions for each contract are met.

The role will require working closely with finance/legal on arrangements for audit and contract approval to ensure that targets across the directorate are met while maximising the drawdown of available funding, as well as building working relationships with Innovate UK managers and staff, EASME and EEN delivery partners to effectively represent Exemplas at external meetings and forums.

About you

You will have a sound knowledge of contract and project management, including demonstrable experience of success in building teams and managing staff, providing real leadership to deliver on KPIs.  You will be comfortable working with databases, together with experience of budget management and project reporting.  An understanding of European funding requirements will be a distinct advantage.

We are looking for an effective negotiator able to work with partners to find mutually beneficial solutions, and a highly organised team player with the ability to prioritise own and team’s workload to meet deadlines. You will be competent at handling and manipulating data (financial, performance and output) and an experienced user of MS Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
