EEN Contracts and Finance Lead

About the role

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) provides advice, information and tailored support to ambitious SMEs that are looking to grow their business through innovation and internationalisation.

This role will take the lead for the administrative management of a number of contracts assigned to the Exemplas EEN team and the wider innovation and programmes department.

You will work closely with the department’s senior management team and the MI & Operations Process lead to provide regular MI and narrative reports and input to the development and management of associated budgets and financial claims for the department’s key contracts and to ensure that the contracts are delivered in compliance with the funders guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation and submission regular management reports (KPIs, and narrative) for the department’s key contracts. 
  • Monitoring and tracking of contract budgets and finances
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial claims
  • Providing oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with audit requirements

About you

You will have experience in the financial and management reporting of multiple contracts, preferably with experience of public sector reporting platforms such as the European Commission’s Funding and Tenders Portal.  You will have experience of working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Excel, in a busy office environment, with the ability (when required) to respond to multiple demands at the same time.

You will also be;

  • Numerate and proficient at handling and manipulating quantitative and qualitative data;
  • Experienced in the preparation and delivery of reports, both written and verbal;
  • IT literate with excellent experience of MS Office including Excel skills;
  • A team-player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines;
  • Proactive and flexible individual with a ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Self-improver, solicits and uses feedback to manage own learning and development.

This is fixed term contract until March 31, 2022 and it is a full-time role, but we are happy to have a conversation about flexible and part time options.  We are currently working remotely due to Covid-19 but this role will be based our Hatfield office when we return.

  • The salary of up to £30,250 for the right candidate
