EEN Client Engagement Adviser

About the role

In this role you will encourage growing innovative SMEs to engage with EEN support to survive the immediate Covid-19 crisis, to stabilise the business and position it to grow as conditions and markets recover in order to help make a significant contribution to the competitiveness of East of England businesses.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging intensively with Innovate UK’s family of clients to encourage them to access the support available to them via EEN;
  • Using holistic analysis tools to review and diagnose client needs identifying tailored support to address needs;
  • Generating leads through networking and identifying innovative businesses with the best growth potential for commercialisation of their ideas;
  • Representing EEN through participating/exhibiting and/or presenting at regional events and contributing to the organisation and planning of a range of promotional and marketing activities;
  • Liaising with the local ecosystem to help ensure that eligible businesses are aware of and have access to EEN services;
  • Keeping up to date on the sources of business support and maximising client referrals to the Innovate UK Family, Exemplas business support, as well as other funded regional business support.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of working within a business support organisation who is highly motivated to engage with existing and potential new clients to encourage them to take up EEN support and services.

You will also have;

  • experience of engaging at a senior level within an SME business environment;
  • experience of B2B sales/ consultative sales / account management;
  • the ability to carry out general business needs assessments and present results to SME owners and EEN colleagues;
  • awareness and understanding of other sources of business support to which referrals can be made to address needs not directly supported through EEN.

In addition, you will need to be able to:

  • diplomatically, competently and effectively engage and communicate with people at all levels (internally and externally);
  • present and host at events
  • be an effective networker
  • work independently and use own initiative/self-motivated as well as working as part of a team;
  • effectively prioritise multiple demands, make good decisions and action promptly;
  • use your influencing skills and personal drive to achieve the best outcome for clients

What we offer

This is fixed term contract until March 31 2022 and it is a full time role, but we are happy to have a conversation about flexible and part time options.

  • The salary of up to £35,000 for the right candidate
