About the role

This is a great opportunity to contribute towards the support of Hertfordshire Small/Medium enterprise (SME) business survival, growth and development by providing advisory consultancy services focused on Business Resilience.

You will provide tailored advice to assist businesses in horizon scanning and future planning through the development of a business resilience plan. You will also;

  • use holistic analysis tools to conduct an in-depth diagnostic process with clients to determine their business situation and challenges; 
  • deliver an account management relationship to businesses requiring Business Resilience support;
  • identify actions that will enable our SME clients to respond and adapt in the face of challenging market conditions and economic uncertainty;
  • generate leads through networking and event attendance to identify businesses that can be supported through business resilience advice, as well as other Hertfordshire Growth Hub services.

About you

We are looking for someone who has significant business support consultancy experience; experience of coaching and mentoring at a strategic level and ultimately someone who has a real passion for working with and supporting SMEs to realise their potential. You will also have in an-depth knowledge of the following areas: sustainability – Net Zero, EU transition, supply chain and risk management.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, must have a good understanding of the needs and challenges of SMEs, have the ability to manage client relationships at all levels, have good IT and digital skills as well as being a collaborative team player.

What do we offer?

This is a fixed term contract until the 31 March 2022 and is a part time role working 3 days a week. This is a peripatetic role requiring regular travel within Hertfordshire County and to our Hatfield office with occasional out-of-hours work, particularly in relation to networking events.

  • The salary of up to £22,362 per annum (FTE £37,271) for the right candidate;
  • Car allowance of £2304 (FTE £3,840) per annum;

  • 26 days holiday (rising to 28 after 2 years’ service, pro rata for part time);
