Are you aged over 19 or over, currently unemployed and registered at your local Job Centre Plus?
We are currently offering free short courses in partnership with Job Centre Plus, giving unemployed people an opportunity to gain qualifications and improve their job prospects:
Level 1 Certificate in Retail Knowledge
Training includes: Customer service, teamwork skills, selling, health & safety, security and visual merchandising.
Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Settings
Training includes: The range of jobs available in adult social care, the types of social care support available to adults, the skills and attitudes needed to work in adult social care, communication skills and the roles/responsibilities of an adult social care worker.
Level 1 Award for IT Users
Training includes: Word processing, Excel, Spread sheets, PowerPoint and Photoshop/Moviemaker. Level 1 Award in Motor Vehicle
Training includes: The basics of repairing cars, handling tools, removing and replacing components, carrying out a range of repair techniques, diagnosing simple faults and knowledge of the theory of motor vehicle maintenance and repair.
Alongside vocational qualifications, you will also work towards a Certificate in Employability and Personal Social Development, which covers CV writing, interview skills and confidence building.
