The EASIER (Environmental Advice for SMEs in the Eastern Region) project provides free support for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the East of England region to reduce their carbon output, and become more energy-efficient and competitive as a result.
Through the EASIER project, the aim is to achieve a minimum 10% reduction in your organisation’s carbon footprint. In fact, we intend to do better – a 20% reduction.
Eligible SMEs will receive up to 14 days of specialist, tailored environmental consultancy paid for by the project. All we require is that you are committed to helping us to help you to manage your environmental impact.
Who is paying for this advice?
This project is part-funded through the region’s European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness “low carbon” programme via EEDA (East of England Development Agency). This will help the East of England region in achieving its carbon reduction targets as outlined in the Regional Economic Strategy and EEDA’s corporate plan.
Who is providing the advice?
This valuable and high quality environmental service is specifically designed for SMEs and is delivered by our Green Potential experts drawn from the University of Hertfordshire (the UK’s leading business facing university) and Exemplas.
What advice do we get?
Through the EASIER project, Green Potential experts provide specialist advice in the following stages:
- An environmental audit and the calculation of your carbon footprint
- The identification of carbon reduction and money-saving opportunities
- An action plan, identifying the key measures which should be followed to achieve the target carbon reduction
- The recalculation of your carbon footprint, and confirmation of its reduction.
