What will the Apprenticeship cover?
Our Apprenticeship/Advanced Apprenticeship provides the following skills
- The fundamental knowledge required to work in your chosen sector (often called a technical certificate)
- Training in, and assessment of, your workplace competence (often called an NVQ)
- Functional skills including English, Maths and IT
- Knowledge on rights and responsibilities as an employee
How long will it take?
They take anywhere between 6 and 18 months depending on the Apprenticeship and the ability of the individual.
How much will it cost?
Due to Government funding, this depends on a number of factors including the:
- Age of the apprentice
- Type of apprenticeship (some are more expensive than others due to the time taken to achieve them)
- Size of your organisation
A guide to the pricing of each apprenticeship is provided under each qualification heading.
As an employer, how can you ensure that your apprentice achieves their qualification?
Success in the Apprenticeship programme can be largely attributed to the effectiveness of the relationship between the employer and/or line manager, the assessor and the learner. All three need to ‘play their part’ throughout the process and we will agree clear guidelines about the roles and responsibilities of each party.
What happens after your apprentice achieves their qualification?
We take a holistic approach to learning and development and to building a partnership with employers. We will discuss with you, the employer and the apprentice, the outcomes of the learning and possible future training and development needs. Because of the breadth of expertise at UH Ventures, career pathways to other qualifications such as management, foundation degrees or even MBAs are possible!
