Train to Gain
Train to Gain is a service from the Learning and Skills Council, designed to help businesses get the training they need to succeed.
Exemplas is working in partnership, as The London Brokerage Consortium and The East of England Brokerage Consortium, to deliver Train to Gain in London and the East of England.
The Train to Gain service offers free, impartial advice, matches training needs with training providers, and makes sure that training and support is delivered to meet objectives.
Train to Gain can improve productivity and competitiveness by making sure that employees have the right skills to do the best job.
The service works in three ways:
- Train to Gain provides a completely impartial, free and independent skills assessment;
- Train to Gain helps employers to choose the most suitable training providers;
- Train to Gain helps employers to get the best value for money from their investment and identify any available funding.
As well as helping you access other sources of funding, the Train to Gain service can also provide some funding itself. This includes:
- Free training to help employees gain their first full Level 2 qualification;
- A wide range of training for low-skilled employees;
- The possibility of a contribution to wage costs for companies with less than 50 employees - to cover the costs of the time spent training.
The London Brokerage Consortium and The East of England Brokerage Consortium deliver Train to Gain in specific sectors. Our contact centre will determine which sector your business is in and direct you to the relevant brokerage consortium.
