Leadership and Management Specialist Advisory Service
Ensuring that small businesses are supported in developing their leadership skills, and with the ultimate aim of facilitating business growth, the Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS) is designed to support leaders and managers in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) which have the potential for high or fast growth.
The Skills Funding Agency contract for the Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS) will finish at the end of May 2012. In all regions the final date for completion of Personal Development Plans will be 29th February 2012. Exemplas will therefore require all applications to be with us as soon as possible. It is unlikely that we will be able to process any new applications within the timescales allowed. All training must commence by Friday May 11th, and all claim paperwork must be received at our offices in Hatfield by May 11th. This is to allow us time to deal with queries, process payments and carry out reviews before the 31st May deadline.
From April onwards, LMAS will be subsumed within the Business Coaching for Growth (BCG) programme, which will be delivered nationally by a consortium led by Grant Thornton.
Since 2008 Exemplas has led partnerships delivering the LMAS in London and Yorkshire & Humberside, helping over 25,000 small business owners and leaders to grow their businesses and contribute to the growth of the local economy. Our Advisers are skilled in identifying both formal (e.g. qualifications-based) and informal (e.g. coaching or mentoring) training and development needs; business leaders can then receive reimbursement of up to £1,000 to help meet these needs (terms and conditions apply).

If you are a training provider we cannot accept direct referrals. However, you may forward the relevant Application Form to any employers based in the London or Y&H regions that you think may be interested in/eligible for support through the Service.
