Diversity

Investors in Diversity (IiD) is a national standard designed to encourage organisations to become more inclusive and create an environment where individuals know that they can contribute to the organisation and so unlock better performance.

Being recognised as an Investor in Diversity can really help your organisation stand out from the crowd and, at the same time, help you to respect differences and start pulling in the same direction.

Originally launched in 2006 and recently revised to include an on-line equality and diversity performance assessment, IiD provides a best practice framework of processes and policies for organisations which promote inclusion, equality, diversity and achievement.

The Standard enables you to identify where your current policies and practices are letting you down or simply not delivering the benefits you want.

IiD is an approach for organisations from all sectors and offers:

  • A benchmark against good practice
  • A framework to identify gaps in managing diversity
  • A development and improvement process for the organisation
  • A nationally-recognised award upon achievement

Experiencing and achieving IiD will result in a range of fundamental mind-set changes for your employees including:

  • Motivated and enabled staff who feel respected and valued
  • Higher levels of innovation and creativity leading to greater job satisfaction
  • Employees gain new inclusive skills and operate more professionally
  • Enhanced career development and job prospects
  • Improved performance and self awareness at both an individual and team level
