Strong communities are at the heart of a strong society. Exemplas works with – and within – communities, to tackle the underlying economic challenges by developing the business skills and knowledge needed to build enterprising communities.
Reducing worklessness and boosting levels of enterprise are integral to empowering communities and tackling the economic challenges experienced in deprived areas.
Promoting an understanding of entrepreneurship, and equipping communities with the business skills to take this knowledge forward, can raise levels of enterprise, enabling communities to build capacity - and transform their economic and social landscape.
Working with community organisations and drawing upon expertise in working with diverse customer groups, Exemplas develops and delivers enterprise programmes which:
- Explore, understand and respond to the particular needs of communities;
- Provide practical skills to support individuals on their journey to enterprise;
- Encourage and facilitate community cohesion; and
- Capacity build communities through the transfer of expertise and knowledge.
