Since 1997, Exemplas has operated internationally, primarily to support the introduction of global best practice into governmental SME support agencies and business support organisations in other countries. Clients have included national and regional SME support organisations in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Malta, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Egypt, the UAE, Pakistan and India.
As well as supporting business organisations, we are also active in two key areas, namely:
- Building the capacity of public sector bodies, through organisational development, performance improvement, strategy development and change management programmes, and
- Delivering and accrediting leading edge management development programmes, and related products and services, to both the public and private sectors.
European Partnering
Within Europe, our focus has been on the future proofing of economies in Western Europe, and the development of those in Central and Eastern Europe. The location of our global HQ in the South-east of England places us at the heart of a sophisticated, and buoyant, knowledge-based economy, of the sort to which other European regions will move in the next 20 or so years. Business support tools and services developed here will have an increasing impact across the continent as other regions gradually transform into this type of economy. We regularly work in partnership with some 20 organisations (from Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Germany and Ireland) to introduce and promote this kind of forward looking best practice throughout Europe.
Asian Partnering
From our partner’s base in Karachi, Exemplas works in India and Pakistan to introduce business, management and human resource development products, to equip the region’s small businesses with the competencies and quality standards necessary to do business successfully in Europe and the wider world. Through our parent organisation, the UK’s University of Hertfordshire, we are opening an office in Malaysia, based at the University’s Kuala Lumpa regional centre.
Middle East Partnering
Exemplas is very active in both the Gulf and North Africa. The focus of our work in North Africa, based on our partner’s offices in Cairo, is on the upgrading of governmental institutions and the development of competencies suitable to a 21st century business and regulatory climate. In the Gulf, based upon our partner’s office in Abu Dhabi, much of our activity is around the identification, development and exploitation of best practice in the area of business or organisational development and the promotion of high quality products and services.
